Consideration will be given to all disciplines including the humanities, social sciences and in some cases law, business, urban planning and other professional schools. Scholars from or who study the Gullah speaking Sea islands, Cape Verde islands, the Anglophone Caribbean, the Canary Islands, and Madagascar and/or other less studied areas are especially encouraged to apply. This is a residential fellowship for the academic year. The fellowships package is worth $45,000 plus health insurance coverage. Included in the package is a stipend of $42,000. Health insurance, plus $1,000 for research and up to $2,000 for travel expenses are also included. Successful candidates can expect to maintain affiliations with CAAS as well as departments and research institutes that relate to their projects. Fellows will be expected to conduct a CAAS work-in-progress seminar on their research during one of the semesters in residence.

Scholarship Description: Skadden Fellowships will provide support for 2012 law school graduates and outgoing judicial law clerks who want to work in the public interest for the type of organization described below. The Fellowships duration is for two years. Grants will be made to sponsoring organizations only. Therefore, before the final application date of October 3, a public interest organization which will sponsor the applicant must be identified. Scholarship Description: Skadden Fellowships will provide support for 2012 law school graduates and outgoing judicial law clerks who want to work in the public interest for the type of organization described below. The Fellowships duration is for two years. Grants will be made to sponsoring organizations only. Therefore, before the final application date of October 3, a public interest organization which will sponsor the applicant must be identified. Scholarship Description: The Cardiac Radiology Program at University Health Network, Mount Sinai Hospital and Women’s College Hospital is well established as a centre of excellence and one of the few in North America that offers a focused 12 month Fellowship dedicated solely to Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR) and Computed Tomography (CT). There is a dedicated faculty of 6 cardiac imagers working in a collaborative clinical and research environment with the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre which encompasses the Divisions of Cardiology, Vascular Surgery and Cardiac Surgery.

Scholarships 2011 Description: The MaxNetAging Research School (MNARS) is seeking applications for Doctoral and Postdoctoral Fellowships, starting in January 2012. MNARS is an international graduate program launched by the Max Planck International Research Network on Aging (MaxNetAging). The program focuses on topics of aging ranging across the full spectrum of the behavioral and social sciences, biology, law and the humanities. Each fellow enrolled in the MNARS will be affiliated with one participating Max Planck Institute. During the first six months of the MNARS all doctoral and postdoctoral fellows will study together at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock.The Max Planck Society wishes to increase the share of women in areas where they are underrepresented, and strongly encourages women to apply. The Fellowship provides: Mentoring and capacity building Connection to a global network Opportunities for networking and information sharing A small stipend and technical assistance Financial support and technical assistance Overhead to the Host Organisation to cover costs associated with hosting a Fellow.
