Postdoctoral Fellowship Description: Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a Postdoctoral Researcher position within the Network of Excellence for Functional Biomaterials (NFB) at the National University of Ireland, Galway. This is a collaborative project with a multinational medical device company.A postdoctoral researcher position for one year, which may be extended, subject to review, will be available starting in September 2012. The successful applicant will develop a wide range of in vitro assays to evaluate the biodegradation of biological devices Galway is also one of the key cities in Europe with a significant presence of the medical device industry sector.

Eligibility:-The successful candidates must hold a doctoral degree.
-Applicants who have not yet defended their dissertation must have submitted their dissertation for assessment by the application deadline
-International publications beyond the doctoral dissertation will be given particular emphasis in the evaluation of applications.
-The successful candidates must be able to publish in English
-Active and positive participation in the research group and the Horizon project require the ability to collaborate in a team
-It is an advantage if the applicant understands Norwegian and is able to express him/herself verbally and in writing in a Scandinavian language
-Experience of and interest in cross-disciplinary work will also be advantageous, as the research team will consist of scholars with diverse social science backgrounds

Master’s, Internship and Research Fellowships in the field of Conservation research for the applicants of India to Study Abroad 2012

Eligibility:
Each activity is intended to have an explicit conservation focus, with an emphasis on clear on-ground conservation benefits. Successful applicants will ordinarily hold a Bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) and be below the age of 30 on the on the first of July in the year of application. Applicants must hold Indian nationality and be resident in India at the time of applying.

Fellowships Programs Description: The Ravi Sankaran Fellowship Program can help. This Program has been set up in memory of the late Dr. Ravi Sankaran who followed up his detailed field studies of wild species with innovative projects to conserve their populations. Fellowship recipients will receive a stipend, travel funds and an amount covering course fees (where relevant). The Small Grants activity usually provides funding up to a maximum of Rs 200,000 per year.
