International Scholarships Description: Applicants should be established African scholars in the field of international affairs and security studies sciences with experience of research on Africa. Applicants should hold a PhD or comparable qualifications and experience – the fellowship is not intended for students registered for a degree or diploma, nor is it intended for senior academics. About the Fellowship The Fellowship will be for a period of up to four months during the 2011-12 academic year, and will be based at IDEAS at the LSE. The Fellow will be expected to engage in research on a topic under one of the following themes: – Africa’s role in global security – Africa states and the SAARC region (includes India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka) – African foreign and economic policies Preference will be given to topics that focus on Africa and contemporary international relations and security concerns of Africa and the external powers. The Fellowship is open to candidates from Africa (AU countries) and it is desirable that applicants are currently employed by a higher education institution, or working in a research capacity in Africa.

Eligibility:
Applicants must either be a law school graduate or in their final year of law school, and must show a demonstrated commitment to advancing women’s rights throughout their careers. Applications must be postmarked by the deadline, and early applications are encouraged. Fellowship selection will be conducted throughout the spring and summer. Depending on the availability of funds, approximately six applicants will be awarded Women’s Law and Public Policy Fellowships, which will carry a stipend of about $39,000. The placement organizations employ the Fellows and provide standard fringe benefits.

Eligibility:-All those who have earned a PhD and graduated holding a diploma in the speciality area of medicine (medical) can participate in the public competition; in both cases candidates must have proper scientific- professional curriculum to carry out research activity.
-Both degrees must have been earned after 30th May 2006, otherwise the candidate will be excluded from the competition.
-Candidates holding degrees earned abroad ( PhD or specialty in medical area) must send together with the application form the degrees translated by an official translator into Italian and certified by the Authorities of the country releasing the degree (unless exempted according to International Agreements).
-Each degree must be brought with Declaration of local value released by Italian Diplomatic Office (Embassy or Consulate) in the country where the degree was earned.
-In case the degree was already declared equivalent, the candidate must enclose the related documents.
-Candidates must send the application form and the description of a research project to be developed with reference to only one subject among those established in Enclosure 2), part of this competition notice.
-The candidates are asked to develop the project, the abstract and the curriculum in English. Absence of criminal prosecution is required.
-According to laws in force a maximum of four years among fellowships; only those who have not exceeded such limit can participate in this competition and anyway who can still take advantage of a two year.

The annual recipient of the fellowship will be announced at the Opening Ceremonies of each IADR General Session & Exhibition.

Scholarships Description: The newly founded Institute of Molecular Biology gGmbH (IMB) is a Centre of Excellence for Life Sciences, funded by the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation, and located in Mainz, Germany. Applications are invited for a PhD student. The successful applicant will contribute to internationally competitive research on the epigenome crosstalk of cell signalling pathways during development and differentiation. The group employs high- throughput epigenomics assays such as ChIP-seq and RNA-seq in combination with stem cell biology and cutting-edge epigenetics and molecular biology tools. The resulting dataset are analysed using computational biology approaches to generate a comprehensive model of signalling to chromatin crosstalk during development and differentiation.
