Eligibility: -The Fellow is expected to spend a majority of his/her time in this area of research and will work closely with breast histopathology, surgical colleagues, radiologists and medical physicists.
-The Fellow will be expected to register for an MPhil and consider upgrading to an MD or a PhD at King’s College London.
-International applications will be considered for this position.
- Recruit breast cancer patients into the SentiMAG trial
- Compare sentinel node detection rate of SentiMag with the combined technique.

Scholarship Description: The main objective of this post is to evaluate a handheld magnetometor (SentiMag) for sentinel node biopsy in breast cancer. This device is CE-marked and 2 initial trials (pahse I/II) have been completed at University College Hospital and Guy’s Hospital. The SentiMAG trial is a phase II/II trial that is about to be launched.There may also be the option of some clinical duties in outpatients and theatre. The post holder will participate in undergraduate teaching.
